We look forward to welcoming everyone that day and thank you for supporting us as we endeavor to raise funds for this year's goal to warmly clothe 2,000 migrant laborers. Please pass the word!

Operation HOPE's summer hiatus.

Yes.. thats right, our low profile over the summer and ramadan period may have seemed to come off as our own version of a hiatus but Operation HOPE did manage to continue momentum on our several missions in bits and pieces and well timed weekly installments.

Whether it was our weekly morning sorting on saturdays  and drop off of donations at the embassy shelters, or our retail presence at EEK through the sale of Household furniture and other electronic items to help raise money for our summer projects ( Thanks to Amira, who on  short notice spear headed this mission), we have been busy attempting to work and do good in small numbers.

All this continues to be possible with the support of our benefactors, our volunteers and our well wishers who have been continuously supporting us all summer long.

One such is the corporate group at Agility who recently donated a generous food donation which OH was able to distribute at the males shelters of the Srilankan Embassy. Needless to say a very generous contribution that served on a magnitude level.

For this and for your continued support, we are grateful to you. With the summer almost coming to a quick end, we are preparing to reopen Esthers doors in the fall.

Do watch out this space for more updates on the Esther's opening :)

Cheers all!

KTAA rebolsters Operation HOPE's mission

This month, Operation HOPE was blessed by the generous team of KTAA who at their season closing luncheon meeting held at the Mais Al Ghanim last week, honoured OH with a generous donation for their upcoming endeavours towards the domestics and needy community.

To the great ladies of KTAA, who through their craftsmenship and intricate talent are blessing the community one stitch at a time, Kudos to you'll.

It is true that when little things are done with great love and passion, they add up to a monumental magnitude and impact.

ACK Talent on Board

We may be laying low for the summer and building an army sized effort for a busy Autumn and winter schedule but good things are happening in all different magnitudes to OH.

The month of May witnessed the OH premises being graced by a strong and youthful team from the Australian Collge of Kuwait (ACK) headed by their professor Ms. Johanne Flynne. The team had selected Operation HOPE as their charity of choice for their semester project " Pay it forward" owing to which Operation HOPE's May mission to one of the embassies were blessed with several quantities of toiletries, clothing, food and a generous monetary donation.

We are proud to be associated with this local youth group who represent the tomorrow of this country and have chosen to be a part of the community development.

Cheers to you boys!

OH Summer Plans

We have been quiet off late ..Nevertheless  very productive.
Esther’s Attic Officially closed doors for this season on May 26 with an eventful day of sorting, rearranging, spring cleaning and plans to come back with a better, refreshed and focused look.
Our student interns from American University of Kuwait (AUK) and Symbiosis University (Pune) steered through the early hours of the Saturday to give Esther’s a quick wash and polish before they wrapped their tenure with us for this season. The pictures speak for themselves.

The energetic Harts club helped us wrap the last shift at the boutique before we closed off for the summer yesterday.
So we would be missing in action this summer but not quite living under the rock. While we aim to have a productive summer trying to build our donation drive for our yearly winter warmth campaign and the reopening of Esther’s Attic in the Fall ( October), we continue to meet every Saturday from 730 am – 830 am for our weekly sorting activities. We also continue to receive donations of gently used items on Saturdays (730 am – 830 am) and Tuesdays (after 6pm) .
We are thankful to each and every one of you for helping us through a successful season. You have blessed us as a customer at Esther’s, volunteer, benefactor, and support system for all of OH’s initiatives.
Cheers

May Fayre Sadu House Bazaar Fun times

An Absolute day of fun at the back drop of sunny weather
with soft clouds in the sky and crisp air around..needless to say we almost did get a fright on Thursday night courtesy of the sudden dust in the air..but all turned out well :)

The team had an absolute blast manning the diwaniya and serving the visitors at the Bazaar with all kinds of savories and sweets, wide selection of Almarai Juices ( Thank you for your amazing donation Almarai), to homemade lemonade and other beverages.

Thanks to all those that came and supported us as a sponsor, visitor, baker, donor and volunteer. You all make it possible time and again :)

Esther's going away for the summer

It has been a busy few months since inception for Esther's Attic which is why it would be closing down for the summer...but for good reasons :) the boutique plans to make an early autumn comeback refreshed, rejuvenated and with a vibrant and more refined look.
We had our successful summer madness sale last week and have another three more weeks into operation until we close for the summer.
Our last working day at Esther’s Attic would be May 26.
We are open on Fridays (9am- 11am) and Saturdays (9am – 12pm) until then. So make the most of it guys.
P.S. We may be closing Esther’s for the summer but do know that we would be accepting donations for gently used clothing and household items all summer long.

So feel free to let us know if you have something you want to donate at hope@ohkuwait.org.

Donation drop off details and time are on our website.

Summer heat, great steals and lots of madness fun at HOPE House
